Topic of discussion today.
-Take pride in your job and in everything you do.
So today was quite productive. I went grocery shopping today and I even wrote a list before I went so I knew exactly what to get. As I got to the checkout standing there was
a teenage boy.
I don't mean to stereotype but there's just something about teenage boy checkout operators, well this one I had in particular. Whom which had the attitude of, this is just a job, I just need money, I wont look at you or speak to you during your shopping experience. Not to mention he didn't pack my groceries very well, I even separated them into sections on the moving belt so that all he had to do was put those sections into bags.
I don't know, maybe I'm a complete nutcase but I am firm in how I'd like my bags to be packed.
If there was anything I enjoyed most in my 4 years of being a checkout chick,
it was taking pride in my packing.
Making sure I didn't mix goods. And making sure the customer was happy and ask how they wanted their bags packed.
If you are going to take any meaning from this,
Take pride in what you do no matter how stupid your job may look. :)
