brisbane thus far.

So when I arrived in Brisbane my mother and I stretched our legs after a long 11 hr drive on our way down from Cairns.  It was great family QT (quality time).
As I met one of my housemates for the very first time, I felt a rather strong sense of welcoming into their home as she helped me unpack my life of stuff from my car to my new room.
It was an interesting house from the start. There were characteristics of it that made it quite unique.

this amazing one hundred year old out-of-tune piano which unfortunately sits in the sun all day long..

this interesting collection over many years, of spiritually uplifting books, in which I have two in my possession. They are great.

However, a few weeks went by as I settled into this cute old queenslander and I began to know all its flaws, and floors for that matter.
The floor boards only in certain areas make noises, so over time I knew where to step and where not to step, it came to me a game at first but now...

Not to mention I would like to speak to the guy who ever built the walls, did he use paper and glue? I can hear every conversation of every evening my housemate talks on the phone.

But anyhow,
I received a nice friendly visit from Benji who lives in Cairns and we both tagged along with his cousins as new-bees to an AMAZING (which even that sounds like an understatement) cafe called Cirque.  Situated in "the Valley" as some may say.. on Brunswick St. On any given day except for the weekends after 12pm you should be seated in an instant.
It was at this place that I truly feel in love again, with Flat Whites. They make the best.

Benj and I enjoying our flat whites.

Not to mention the food is overly amazing too! So kudos and "points" (in joke) to Em, Pistol Pete, Disney Dave and All-is-stare for taking us there.  Thanks a million.

So in my first couple of weeks of living in Brisbane and being unemployed I pretty much got spoilt rotten with amazing food discovered by names mentioned above. Places include;
-Cirque
-Litte Greek
-Mekka Bah
-Dos Amigos
-The Gunshop Cafe
-Freestyle
-Cyber
I'm pretty sure I went to way more places than this, this is only half the list.

At this present time being unemployed came to such convenience for me, as I travelled to the beach a couple of times in those few weeks.  I got to see real beaches, not like the ones that get called beaches which have brown water with insufficient waves in them. Nah not them kind. So heres a collection of photos from the beaches,
From Burleigh Heads, to Dicky's Beach.

That is all.
For now.
